About Us

We know how important it is to trust your psychiatric provider, and earning that trust is not something we take lightly. That’s why we’re dedicated to a patient-first approach, leading with compassion and open communication. Our practice is located in Greenwood, Indiana, with both in-person and virtual appointments available.

Our Story

Having spent time in a hospital-based psychiatric practice, Cameron couldn't shake the feeling that the traditional approach was more about numbers than genuine care. Patients and providers alike got lost in the shuffle. That's when he decided to forge a different path. His goal? To establish a different type of practice where everyone—patients and providers alike—feels genuinely seen and supported, all within a warm and nurturing atmosphere.

  • To make mental health care easy, effective, accessible, and affordable.

  • A world where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported on their personal path to well-being

Meet the

Team

At Circle City Psychiatry, you're in the care of two exceptional professionals who are here to support your mental health journey.

  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Cameron Chappell is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and the lead provider at Circle City Psychiatry. He founded the Greenwood-based practice to improve access to mental health care and help individuals prioritize their wellbeing. He is committed to making care more accessible and practical for busy adults across the Southside Indianapolis community.

Before starting Circle City Psychiatry, Cameron worked as an outpatient psychiatric nurse practitioner at St. Francis Health, where he also supported patients in the hospital who needed mental health care during their stay. Earlier in his career, he worked as a bedside nurse with Community Health, gaining experience across both medical and behavioral health environments.

Cameron earned his Associate Degree in Nursing from Ivy Tech, his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University, and his Master’s degree as a PMHNP from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Outside of work, Cameron is an avid local sports enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his two dogs—both named after Indiana Pacers players.

  • Sophia McCormick is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Advanced Palliative and Hospice Social Worker (APHSW-C) with a Master of Social Work (MSW). She brings extensive experience supporting individuals and families across healthcare and community settings.

In addition to her work as a therapist with Circle City Psychiatry, Sophia serves as a Case Manager with the Department of Veterans Affairs, helping veterans experiencing homelessness work toward stable housing and long-term wellbeing. Before joining Circle City Psychiatry, Sophia worked as a therapist at Meridian Health Services and Franciscan Alliance. Her professional background also includes roles in palliative care, hospice, hospital social work, and outpatient therapy, as well as nearly a decade working in child welfare with the Marion County Public Defender Agency.

Outside of work, Sophia enjoys self care in the form of gardening, bicycling, playing the French horn with community groups, and spending time with her senior rescue dog and cat.
